Simo Häyhä, the man who would come to be known as The White Death and the Ghost of the Kollaa. 

A legendary Finnish sniper of the Winter War that started in 1939 and ended roughly 105 days after in March of 1940.

Simo, cloaked in snow-camouflaged white, face shrouded beneath a fur-lined hood, iron-sighted Mosin-Nagant rifle in hand—blending seamlessly into the frozen forest as he claimed over 500 confirmed kills in sub-zero hell within, striking terror into invaders without ever using a scope.

No mere myth, he received a gunshot wound to the face with an explosive round, disfiguring him near the end of the war and leaving him in a temporary coma. Seeking no fame or glory, Simo Häyhä would live to the incredible age of 96 years old, passing away in 2002 and becoming one of the most celebrated marksmen in world history.
